    Hello everyone,

I am new to the internet scene and I have been thinking about making my own website. The only trouble is I don't know anything about the legal issues. I've been searching on the internet for guides, but I found nothing specific. So, if any one knows about linking/posting videos from other websites, and any other legal problems with websites. I would highly appreciate it if you wrote me about them.

    Thank you very much.

Youtube provides a code to embed video to a site. It creates a link to the video on youtube. It is legal, if the person doesn't want to share the video the code will be blocked.

If it is on Youtube, the user who submitted it wants it to be seen. If embedding is enabled, you can use the code and copy/paste it into your webpage. If embedding is disabled, you may still link to it and include a digital still of the video if you are able to get one.

Video embeds are a great way to put videos on your website for free - if it wasn't legal they wouldn't have the code ready and waiting for you!

Whole sites are made that way.
Best approach is to be selective rather than use a script to do that.

But there is also an excellent wordpress plugin that will give you awesome automated results.

As other pointed before you embed it . It also works for most videos that you might find on sharing sites .

Youtube will usually take down the video if someone sends a DCMA, so it doesn't really make a difference either way.

The answer to your question is already on the YouTube site. If your not sure, read a sites terms and conditions or ask them.

Using the embed code is fine from YouTube's perspective. Of cause that doesn't make it automatically OK to have the video as the original poster could be putting copyrighted content there without permission. It may be worth checking the terms as I haven't but I would imagine there is a requirement that if you receive a DCMA for content embedded in your site from YouTube that your required to inform YouTube of it.
