    Hi guys
Can you promote a keyword as far as it will go...Just say my keyword was computer support, What if I promoted that keyword and only ever got to PR4 with it after 5 years...Should I then move onto another keyword to add to the PR4 because nothing is going forward with the first one..

    hope I haven't confused things

You shouldn't be measuring how well you've promoted your keyword phrase by the URL's PR. You should be looking at how you rank for that keyword phrase in the SERPs and how much traffic it is bringing your site. PR is a terrible measure of how well you're doing from an SEO perspective...

BTW: Toolbar PR is based on a logarithmic scaling of the page's "actual" PR (which you'll never know). So it's exponentially harder to get from PR4 to PR5 than it was to get from PR3 to PR4.

Don't judge by PR, judge by results. If a keyword get 1000 searches monthly and you get 500-750 people from it, move on. Good luck!
