    Hi All,

I have a folder in my website which I am unable to delete via FTP no matter what I do. I am not able to chmod it, access it let alone read it.

I suspect, it may have a .htaccess file with "deny from all" in there.

    Any ideas? All suggestions welcome.

    Thanks in advance

are you using your a root account? i say no, and if you have access to a root account, try loggin in from it.

if not your account may be not allowed to delete/modify dirs. Is it only one dir, you're having problems with?

Also, you might want to try, (if available) to use a web-based file manager, for example, awardspace.com and godaddy.com have them. Try deleting the folder through that. If not... I don't know...

Thanks Wekky. Yes I'm able to use my root account. It's just one particular folder I'm having problems with. I just want to delete it completeley but each time I try it tells me "Access Denied".

    I'll try awardspace.com

The folder maybe "in use", try some script that will delete it as soon the server reboots, then reboot the server.
