Can you help Upgrade my Knowledge - Bind and DNS

    I am setting up my first Bind DNS server for my new hosting - I have always used my hosts previous to this.

    I have tried to google this and search here as well - But I guess I cant explain myself well enough in the search string to get the result I am looking for

    Here is my question

    Where does the IP for the ns2.mydomain.com come from?

    I have entered the IP for the server for the ns1 record.

    What am I missing? Do I just add the same IP (this doesnt sound right to me)

    Some help upping my skills is appreciated

    Well if u have only 1 ip then you just have to add that for ns2 aswell.. it will work fine

    Thanks - It doesnt look right but I did it

    Appreciate the assistance

    I just need to work out what this means and I am up and running - lol

    NDC command failed : rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1#953: connection refused
