    Hi all.

I've been working on my site for years and have just got my site to the 2nd page of google under my targeted keyword.

Any advice on ways I can get the site to the first page?

Should I play around with the title tag?
Should I add some more in-bound links to the site?

My site is: aaaphonesex.co.uk and my keyword is phone sex

    Any ideas are much appreciated.

    Thanks.

Are you saying you want your site to see in the first page of search engine result with your targeted keyword? To rank in the first page of search engine result is not easy. Actually I'm also optimizing a site. And as of now I'm not sure to rank to the first page, right after I finish optimizing.

I thought it was every SEO guy's aim to get their site listed on the first page of the major search engines under targeted keywords?

I'm looking for any tips that will push my site to the first page, from page number 2.

    cheers!

Your on page optimization looks good except for one thing. Your not using any <h1>, <h2> tags.

Your first headline "Welcome To The Key Word Site" could be a <h1> header. And "10 Reasons why our Key Word site is the BEST:" could be <h2>. Same for "What happens when you call our Key Word Services...", <h2> as well.

These <h> tags can be resized with CSS if you dont like how large the fonts are.

All your other densities are good, title, body, links, bold, metas. Just add those <h> tags.

Get more backlinks too. Google shows none, Yahoo 177, and MSN 431. And your only PR2. So get more links. Try to get some PR3 or higher links to help boost your PR.

Not that PR should be a focus, its just a sort of guidline as to your quantiy/quality of backlinks.

On your internal pages where you link back to home page your link should be www . site . com NOT www . site . com/index.htm. This makes for 2 seperate identical pages to Google. Also use a 301 redirect in .htaccess to redirect the http:// site . com to the http://www . site . com Again google see's these as seperate and identical pages. Doing this will point all your page weight to the one index page.

Also that link on your internal pages to the home page would be a good place to drop your key word.

And many of your old pages in the links at bottom of page have 404 errors to many of those gallery pics. Drop these pages if they are not pulling any of their own traffic. If they do pull any kind of traffic then you should fix those 404 errors. These pages dont look to be indexed by google so you could just delete them without having to do 301 redirects for them to the home page. They offer no real SEO value. Next to no usefull text content.

axemedia is on the money...you need h1 and h2 tags to tell Google what the focus of your site is.

Maybe you'd try to register in more quality directories with the same short content. I never heard about this from anyone, but I saw the search engines apreciate better the sites that are subscribed in directories with same content...
