Well, I am quite a newbie in the field of keywords and such mumbo-jumbo. I was in google kw tool and was searching for few phrases when the following result came. As you see the kw has no searches for past month and not even in past trends. but shows the average no. of queries.

    How is that??

Do you think these keywords get the average traffic as shown by google??

    Thanks

    Hi,

I find some of the results that come back using the free Google tool unreliable.

It's worthwhile trying other tools as well for comparisons.

    Another free tool is http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

Sorry I am not able to post the link directly for you. :)

The free version is limited and does not provide keyword competition results.

All tools offer what is known as best estimate....

Free tools are terrible to use for keyword research. Wordtracker is garbage with the numbers they present.

Googles tool is okay, but again its part fact, part fiction, part best guess....

    :)

There nothing static about the web, what is a hot term one month can be a gutter term the next and so on.

    - Go to your ad level and click on the keyword tool.
    - Enter your keyword term, tick synonyms and click get ideas
See the drop down box that says "Choose Columns to Display"? Click "ALL" and this will bring up the monthly searched graph and give you a better idea of which months over the prior year were most/least searched for the entire list Google spit out.

    Hope that helps a bit

TIP; Don't forget to use phrases rather than single keywords and read up on negative keywords before you fire up a wallet sucking campaign.

    Cheers
