Hello Everyone, I was just looking at www.zihost.co.uk and some of there prices are extremely cheap, could you please tell me whether it is worth it? There middle plan costs only $30 a year, so are the prices good? I am thinking about purchasing the company, but want more information first. Thanks Jonathan
Buying the company possibly, and maybe a package. I just want to know if the price is cheap or expensive for what they offer I was looking to buy a hosting company, your wiree.net site looks very nice, good work done there
You can check our package - they are much cheaper http://www.1websiteshostingpromotions.com/package.php Good luck. Toniya
Unlimited space and bandwidth package which for us would be a red flag on any acquisition. Depends on what you're looking to buy I suppose, but always nicer to buy a company that has sustainable packages and prices.
So guys, can I have an honest summary?! I guess the prices are too high, should be done monthly etc etc
yea dont buy there, you can host with us and were legal.. plus were registered at the BBB and have only had one complaint in 3 years!. Service talks..
Ok, if anyone else wastes my time offering me there hosting I will report them and/or give them negative rep I wanted to know if the company provides value for money, would you buy from them etc.
Are you are looking for an opinion on the company or the plans? If its the plans... they are actually pretty realistic and yes they are a good price (despite what many people say here). For the most part they have stayed away from the overselling unlimited world which is nice to see. As far as the buying the company, the price would affect how much due diligence is required. They have done some simple math to determine the hosting prices, which on the simplest terms could be quite profitable. assuming they have 100gb storage on the server for hosting accounts you get this... 250mb = 400 accounts X 3gb bandwidth = 1200gb total bandwidth with plans @ £10/year (5 for domain) 400X£10= £4000 / server annually or £333 monthly gross. you could make £100 /month net on that. thats pretty good. Is that the sort of thing you wanted? Matt
Thanks Matt, that is exactly what I wanted, although if I am honest 100GBP isn't that much compared to some of the websites I run
You are welcome... one thing else remember with hosting its not profit per "site" 100GBP/ server. More severs less cost = more profit, so making 100GBP on 1 box is actually not bad at all. Or you can massively over sell (hostgator 600GB & 6000GB bandwidth for $8 ) and profit 10x that per box.... until customers actually figure out that there is no unlimited and they aren't going to get a shared plan at 5% the cost of a server. Webhosting unfortunately seems to be the only business where it is okay to lie about what a consumer actually gets. Could you imagine if McDonalds advertised "unlimited" big macs for $2
Yeah you have a good point there matthew, so what sort of money could I start making from a website like zihost.co.uk if I concentrated on it full time. I am thinking about targetting local businesses to use the host, but I want to see what profits I will be making before I dive in at the deep end!
