    Agreed... I never vote straight ticket in a general election, because there are general people on the ballot on the local level that I like for various reasons that may be everything from independent to democrat. On the local level, the political affiliations seem to matter a lot less than simply getting things done.

    I was actually more referring to 'getting stuff done' mattering more than what party you belong too. Because these days I hear a lot of people talking about supporting a republican view or a democratic party view rather than individual politicians more often than not. FAR more often than not. Especially when it comes to state or national level.
