In considering keywords for my blog (for both content and domain name) I am a little perplexed on one thing: How does google treat similar keywords such as the following?: confident vs. confidence (adjective vs. noun(?), but with same root) happy vs. happiness vs. happiest vs. happier depression vs. depressed vs. depressing home vs. homes (plural) anxious vs. anxiety vs. anxiousness nervous vs. anxious (synonyms) I don't even know what to call these things to google it.. So, how would a domain name of AnxiousAndDepressed.com compare in terms of SEO to AnxietyAndDepression.com and then to something completely different like SnoozyPoozy.com for "anxiety" and "depression" keywords?
Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Having a direct match domain name by itself won't do much for you unless the KW has very low competition. But you can get wallets.com to rank for car windows if you do a heavy enough linking campaign while optimizing your site for car windows and sprinkling in lsi kw's
lsi=latent semantic indexing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latent_semantic_indexing Its a bit of a buzzword. I don't think its really applicable to ranking stuff just yet but folks like to toss the term around. hope that helps. Nigel
it probably is used by google, i have bought their biography, and the guys there use a lot of the best technology - not sure the other engines are there yet quoted for ease
It's not proven either way that LSI exists or not, however I think it's good practice and the inline seo course seems to buy into, which I'm a big fan of
