Ok here goes if my domain is mymallontheweb.com and I have subdomains gifts.mymallontheweb.com and shopping.mymallontheweb.com do I submit them to the search engines and then have them pointed to my home page or something else. Any help on sub domains would be greatly appreciated. Best regards John

Subdomains are usually treated as seperate sites. If you do have subdomains set up, it is better to simply link to the subdomain from the main site and allow the SE spiders to find them that way.

You really should use some caution with subdomains as far as asking yourself if you really need them or not - would it simply be better to have a folder? It's easy to get carried away and subdomain lots of different subjects and end up with a maze rather than an easy to maintain site.
