Hi, I can't seem to get Adsense to post relevent ads on links.com. I built a sitemap using the Wordpress plugin. My subsidiary pages, Contact and About seem to be getting relevent ads but not my main page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rich
I think the adsense is quite on target. You can't expect to post on USB-sticks and not get technically related ads. The reason you don't think the ads are related might have to do with your posts covering various topics, so the ads do too. Have you tried looking at the pages for the individual posts?
Take some time for adsense to propagate. I think somehow it will need a little bit time. Or otherwise you could do ad competitive filtering (but not recommended unless you know what u're doing.
Thanks for the comment. I think most of the page is primarily links to games, videos, and other forms of entertainment. Even the USB has nothing really to do with routers, so I am still somewhat at lost. But thanks for trying to assist me. Regards, Rich
I suspect because your content is not on target with a specific subject. Or your content is on a such a broad subject thats why you are getting all kinds of electronic/tech ads. Try to narrow it down or just wait it out. I remember this domain, did you just buy it recently? I remember the former as being for sale for 25k.
You can try putting meta description and keywords tag and include a keyword or two in title, that could help before Google finds more relevant ads based on your content
I just saw your site and found no meta tag description or keywords by viewing the source. Try to add those and wait for some time. may be your problem will solved.
First and foremost - GREAT domain name. But back on topic I agree with what most people have said above: - Add a "specific and relevant" Title tag. - Add Meta tags that are "specific and relevant". - Maybe putting an intro paragraph that explains what your site is about just under the ads using "specific and relevant" keywords. - Build inbound links to your site that are using "specific and relevant" keywords. If you can't tell what I'm getting at, I'm trying to say that your site needs to "specific and relevant" content - personally it is beyond me why your site isn't about something more "linky", for lack of a better word. I mean AdSense will even factor a domain name into working out what ads to serve. So it would help if your content was relevant to your domain name - links. PS - SWEET domain name.
Hi Burta, et al, Thanks for all of the helpful suggestions. Right now the primary domain has "entertainment links". Would you suggest something more specific? Thanks for your help. Regards, Rich
I mean it's your site and I can see the relevance to links to entertainment links but I dunno I just thought with a domain like links.com you'd be providing something a little more generally related to links. Like if some random person was to type in the the domain name links.com I think they'd probably expect some site that was selling links or are link generating system or something related to "links" in general. I mean I'd never type in links.com and expect to get an entertainment site. It is sorta like if I were to go to a domain named news.com and there I found books or something. You know what I mean. But hey, that's just me. Can I ask did you recently buy the domain or something?
