Is there anyway you could get banned from alexa? If so, how can you tell that your website has been banned? and what are the risks? And also if you buy traffic from PTC sites and what not, is there a chance of your domain getting ban?
I never seen any site getting banned from Alexa. even if you gets banned from Alexa, it doesn't matter to you. Who cares alexa. care about google...care about search engines.
Why are you so much bothered about alexa.... They are nothing to you. Its a website which gives information(that too approximately). So never get worried of alexa they are a website thats all. Not like Google, Yahoo (organic search engines)
Because most people check for Alexa these days when they buy something. And I have one more question. Do you need traffic from the whole world to get a really high Alexa or can you just advertise in the US and get a high Alexa. I'm just looking for a decent 200k rank. NOTE* I have been only advertising in the US and my rank wasn't going up.
So basically I have to advertise in other countries to get my rank up much higher? And one last question, will google ban me if I'm getting a lot of traffic from PTC sites? (I DON'T use google adsense or any sort of advertising on my site.

I also never heard about any website banned by alexa. So just forget the alexa and concentrate on Google, Yahoo!, Bing etc...
Is adbrite CPV considered cheating? Since it is a method of advertising. The viewer isn't getting paid anything, its just a commercial break.
The reason why I need more traffic is to get Google Site Links (the extra links about your site under your domain), usually they give Site Links to people around 200k to 100k (PR doesn't matter). And sometimes people look at the websites Alexa rating to check and see if the website has been around for awhile before they consider buying anything from it. Like I personally wouldn't buy something that was 90% off from a website with 20mill Alexa. (And Alexa is well advertised in the US, 1 out of 10 people almost know about it if they have a computer. O okay thanks for the heads up, by any chance do you have examples of site that are banned? how can you tell if a site is banned from Alexa?
I didn't heard till date that any site is banned from ALEXA. Kindly first more read on Alexa and how he gives the rank to websites. I would like to suggest the concentrate on GOOGLE.com it is far good from any alexa.
