Does anyone know if there is any way to get a point of sale card scanner for credit cards that you would be able to get the money into a business paypal account afterwards? Also, has anyone used those places going around offering business credit based on credit card sales records? Are they for real? Thanks for your help.
For the first question, no. Paypal is not a bank account, and does not offer any sort of point of sale processing, so right now there isn't any means to make an integration like this. For the second question, yes. We offer this, and a lot of other merchant service providers do as well. It's typically called merchant funding, or merchant factoring. Basically, it is an accounts receivable funding process where you pay back the balance that you borrowed from your processing volume. There normally aren't huge credit requirements, but it is a high interest form of funding. Let me know if you would like more information on the factoring. Also, there's another term factoring, which is illegal, and refers to processing transactions for another company / person. The two are not the same thing. Thanks for the info and help... Yes I am aware of what paypal is and is not, and what you can and cannot do. Hence my question looking for somebody with a PoS terminal which can then have money transfered to paypal afterwards, after it is charged from your client and in your merchant account. Do you offer your services to Canadians, or is it limited to the US?
