And as you rollover on it, it opens up a paragraph "rollover" type mechanism that you can alter from time to time? I understand rollovers use pics, this would suck for this application. For example: You have a list of cars that when you see Formula1 scroll around you put your mouse over it and it stops the scrolling and opens up a small box with text describing the car. As things are upgraded through the years, you would need to be able to just change text.
I am looking for an interface that yes, by the simple fact that it's scrolling automatically when the page loads, that it will be the focal point. If it's a .fla file then I guess I need to go to the FLA forum, but I was looking for a point in the right direction. It's just a list of cars, that could be easily put in a dropdown list. but that's fairly uncreative. As this list of maybe 15-20 diff cars scrolls around, when you see the car you like, you mouseover and it stops the scroll and balloons a description of the car, maybe 2 small paragraphs... or fun facts. And the balloon text(ideally) might be able to be edited on the fly. I've seen the like, but it might be better served if I create my own instead of swiping someone else's. I can't remember where I saw it anyways.
A scrolling ticker/gallery/etc. is exceptionally user-unfriendly interface. If you just must do something that silly, a simple Google search would turn up many, many examples like this. cheers, gary
