I am totally baffled. For every day of this month, when I do an "Aggregate data" check I get a totally different amount than when I do a "Channel data" check using all my active channels. Right now I did a total check for all this month, and the difference between the aggregate data and the channel data is 18%. The difference for just this day is over 11 dollars! The channel data is showing 18% more earnings, however, my monthly total is calculated using the aggregate data, so where is that missing money??? Could you do a similar test and let me know if you also see any difference? Any idea of what is happening?
Noticing differences like that as well. Even bigger onces, but I thought for me the problem was that I probably had a link that wasnt included in a channel or something. An old link somewhere that was made before I started using the channels.
I was thinking something the same. I even checked all my pages ot make sure that my publisher ID is correct, and it is, so... where is the missing money? As I said, you are getting paid for what the aggregate data shows
The only explanation is that you have ads showing somewhere without the channel data in it. Otherwise maybe there's a glitch and some clicks don't get recorded with any channel data. Either way mine are never synched up, but im pretty sure I have old sites that I never put a channel on.
Actually it seems to be the other way round, the channel data is showing more money than the aggregate data.
It's the same here, about 20 - 25% more at channel data. I think only Google can give the answer. Aggregate data are not including all pages? Or dose channel data count double at some pages? I've no idea too.
I'm not sure but I think I remember that google said up to 3 clicks from the same Ip and user are counted. That means if some users are coming back to your site 'cause they aren't satisfied and click again another ad more then three times these clicks are not on your account. Maybe channel data shows the total and aggregate data deducts over three clicks. On my site I have many visitors looking up many pages It's just a guess.
It's me. I copied your AdSense ID and used it on my site. <j/k> But seriously... do you have overlapping channels? I have overlapping URL Channels and Custom Channels. Which type of channels are you using?
Now that you mention it... I do. I have one url channel "www.url.com" and one custom channel. Damn... I need to clean up this mess now.
same thing is with me too.. I do have URL channels as well as custom ones... can any body explain which should be used and why?
isnt the reason for this that many of us only started adding channels AFTER a number of days or weeks of just regular aggregate earnings counting?
I have the opposite problem as I got some code out there without a channel, but I have no idea which site I would have put it on! Hence my aggregate is always more than me channels.
I would tend to agree with part of this theory. Not about the number of clicks credited per IP, but about GG not crediting all the clicks to the account for many different reasons. Maybe the channels are reporting the "unfiltered" list of clicks, and the aggregate data is showing the "cleared" list of links. Fryman: maybe you can save your current data and compare it with the information shown at the end of the month to see if it changes. It wouldn't be the first time that numbers are adjusted after they have been previously reported lower. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=9987 .
Don't forget that you can count channel data two or more times. For example if you had these channels: domain.com domain.com/subdirectory/ domain.com/subdirectory/page.html You would be counting the same channel data 3 times. So your total for channel data would be 3 times your aggregate total.
domain.com domain.com/subdirectory/ works fine for me though..... domain.com/subdirectory/ shows higher earnings than domain.com therefor it must be the sub-domain only earning and the domain.com earning shows the earning except for the sub-directory otherwise the earning couldn't be lower..... I have very weird problems in my ad performance today see this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=13454
