I have a batch of twelve PDF files that I need combined in a single .zip file. I have been unable to compress these files using any of the free programs I have found. I need to get this into a file of 1.5 mgs or less, with no errors. I must be able to upload it to my server and extract the files without any errors.
If you can do this quickly, please PM.

Twelve files is best, but I'm open to ideas including reformatting the existing files. This is a 300-page e-book, so I think having chapters as files is vital for navigation as well as usability...but I really have to get the file size down. I've been uploading and downloading it all day.

I'm on a mac with dial-up and I've been downloading compression ultilities all day in between uploading and downlaoding this zip file. That's why I'm looking for someone who has the software to do this, I've tried a lot of different ways.

I don't think the pdf file sizes can be reduced that much. I tried and it reduced to 4.3 mb from 4.71 mb (pdf size not .zip)

The zip file size is reduced to 4195 kb from 4624 kb.

Update: I've now merged the files so I've got a single 336-page, 4.9 mg file. If you have the full version of Acrobat, you should be able to compress it by using the "print" to PDF option for compress.
Thanks everyone who tried so far.
