I'm sorry, but editors don't give site status reports any more. It was tried at the Resource Zone, and found to be unbeneficial and unsatisfatory for both submitters and editors. If your site is rejected for some reason, you will never be told that or the reason it was rejected, because it's not a service we provide. What editors do is build categories of websites that have some kind of unique content for the category that will provide a web surfer with a good resource of sites to look at. We don't want or accept all sites. http://www.dmoz.org/help/submit.html Because there are roughly 600,000 categories and roughly 6,000-7,000 current editors with various levels of editing capabilities, it's impossible to predict when or if a site may get reviewed and listed. It could take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of years. We can't tell you because we don't know ourselves. The most common reason a site hasn't been listed is that an editor just hasn't gotten to it yet, rather than because there is something wrong with it and it's been rejected, so, I would put that at the bottom of your list rather than the top of it. A common misconception is that we are a listing service. That is false. We build categories for web surfers, and our concern is about listing the quality sites (in our opinion) that have the unique content in them. That goal doesn't require speed, but good judgement, which is why we suggest you submit a site suggestion once and just move on to other ways of promoting your site. Unfortunately, we have neither the time, nor the resources to inform each site owner about the status of their suggestion, but, thank you very much for making one.
