Okay on my site http://www.orchidgeeks.com/forum/ in the upper right hand corner there is an adsense search box, which is dark gray and the surronding color is a light gray...I would like to match them. Is there a way I can change the Adsense box to a light gray? In the options I only saw 3 options, white, black and grey.
It's not against the TOS at all. Go to https://www.google.com/adsense/colors and set up a custom "palette" or whatever they call it. You can alter the colors of pretty much everything about the ads - just type in the hex code for the color you want (you can use one of the color pickers to do that if you wish to make an exact match to another color on your site or logo). Then save it. After that, use your custom palette to generate the AdSense code at https://www.google.com/adsense/code .
guess Davey Crocket talk about adsense search box and that dont have nothing to do with adsense for content .. and palettes from AdSense for Search are for search result page not for search box used in your web pages. I just know its agains of tos to alterate code for search box, guess we are alowed to use white , black or gray.
Thanks for that clarification, play... you're absolutely right, of course. When I see AdSense, I automatically think "AdSense for Content", not AdSense Search - I tried that feature and hated it... way too spammy looking for my liking, so I never use it.
Mister minstrel, guess Google spy this forum or hear you , now i see AdSense for Search have option to use some colors or html if dont like that preset ... and other nice option , can erase Google logo
Yea, but the changing background color only works if you want to remove the google logo. You can't use a custom background color and the google logo at the same time, at least from what I am seeing.
