Many of the advertisers on CJ have "text link" advertisements. E.g., "Come to Macy's One Day Sale" I want to use text links in the body of website content - article, blog post, etc. but rather than use their text, I'd like to just link to the advertiser using their business name. E.g., a link that just says "Macy's" in the context of a blog post. Does anyone know if I would be allowed to do this (with my CJ tracking code, of course)?
Can you do it? Yes you can very easily... just change the text. If you link out with only the html code and not the impression/image code then your link will not register impressions. Some advertisers don't like this because it messes with their ability to track statistics. Ultimately it's more for them than you. You do whatever you need to do to make money. You can always run it by the affiliate manager. If find a lot of graphic images and text is pretty lousy in many programs.
