    I think it's a bit sketchy..

Perhaps land at the trademarked domain, Give the user a message saying something like 'this domain is not in use, you will be redirected to www.??????.com in (5-)' then take the user to your website?

Can you get away with it? Possibly, but if your question is it legal, then the answer is generally no. Especially if the product/service on your site is similar to the product/service provided under the trademark.

I wouldn't mess with a trademarked domain in the first place. You are just flirting with legal trouble. It's an obvious attempt to use someone elses hard work to benefit for your own needs instead of doing the hard work your self.
If it was mine, I would sue you.

you can't do ANYTHING with a trademarked name. Anything that's not a blank white page is fair game for a C&D letter.

thanks for your clarification . . . what if you buy it and dont use it at all ? ? ?

what if you buy it and redirect it to their website ?

then at least you would own it . . . maybe even throw a few ads on there when you redirect them to the real site or something . . .

Research the law and penalties for cybersquatting.

If the trademarked name, is in your possession for 10 years or more [please check up the specific time period, yourself], the trademark owners can't do anything to you. [Ofcouse the owners of the trademark, should not be made aware of this, until its past 10 years]

So, you could purchase that domain name and not use it for 10 years.... and then freely use it as per your wish. :D

You'd probably still be accused of 'passing off' if you tried to send the traffic to a rival offer.

Still, it's taking an action with a trademarked name that is not authorized by that particular company.

Dude. It's trademarked ! Give it up. Is it worth the legal trouble that you are definitely asking for?
With the thousands of things that you can do online, why are so set on using a trademarked name, that will not make you one dime, and if it does, you will be sued for it ?
    Why ?
    Just let it go.
