i'd suggest placing a link on your profile If someone likes your answers he/she might drop by your profile to see what else do you have, that could quite possibly lead to more traffic
Yes it can. cause the traffic is being targeted but I think Yahoo answers is somewhat like so discouraging cos there's no more live links available to be posted by a Level one user.
i use yahoo answer to get more traffic, i always post a good answer together with my link. Sometimes my answer is chooses as the best answer. And i never got banned. @MrSandMan I like your idea!
sure it can, a lot of people view it, but it is easy to get your answer deleated and your account suspended
There are about 50 million people a week who to answer looking for something. That probably answers what an opportunity to be in yahoo answers
Yes many do this. After Answering the Question they leave their Site URL in the End and Get free traffic because people think it might be useful.
hi, i have tried a few ways to increase my website traffic with answers but always got banned! Leaving your link in the profile seems the best.. Dave
Yes, yahoo answers are useful for web traffic but they should be relevant to the question and not to look like spam.
hi, I have been thinkling about the idea of how to spend my own time increainf website traffic and have come back to the basic ideas of articles, forum posts, seo rather than Yahoo answers. It can be good traffic of course but I think i prefer to spend my time focusing efforts in other areas that I will not get banned from using anytime, (just my thoughts today) dave
I do yahoo answers in my niche. I leave a link in the whats your source area. Not so many questions in my niche though. Maybe 1 or 2 a day, sometimes nothing. I do other more mainstream questions if I feel like it. I got 37% best answers. I get traffic from answers, which is constant. Every day somebody is coming from there to my site. Highest for me was 10 unique visitors a day. But I guess it depends on the topic.
I am using Yahoo Answers for a while now, and I can tell you from first hand that is worth it. But do not spam there. Try to be helpful with your answers and have link to your site just in "What's your source?" box. I have 58% of best answers over there using same tactics. I strictly answer what is question about! I write several paragraph always about asked issue. From my tracking info I see that I receive many, many visitors to my site from yahoo answers. But only from the posts that were chosen as best answer!
I spent about 1 hour posting answers on a niche subject and it did get me some extra traffic. I need to do it again. I even got a click from an answer i did months ago. The only issue is that you can be limited to a certain amount of answers a day until you build up your rep.
Yahoo answer drive targeted traffic if you answer properly on related question, it helps to increase sell. However, spamming will never works
its easy to spot the spammers they tend to stick out. If you try to answer for a niche that you dont know much about make sure you research it before answering.
Make sure if/when you post a link, you post a free domain type thing (a cloaked aff link). NOT A URL SHORTENER AND NOT A HOPLINK OR OTHER UNCLOAKED LINK. Aff links will get you banned or disliked, and url shorteners look VERY suspicious when you are "recommending" a product.
I've had really good luck with Yahoo Answers as far as traffic goes. The conversions aren't always the best though because it isn't very targeted.
