    Yes, you can use sub domains for your website.

    There is no harm in creating sub domains because search engines, somehow, know that sub domains are part of your main domain and gives it equal reputation and credibility as your main domain gets.

    But think about this : domain.com/here-comes-anything belongs to your main domainname here comes anything.domain.com is a really subdomain and Google will view this as a separate domain and evaluate so

    well you can use sub-domains, but i suggest to go with separate folder rather than sub-domain..,
