What do you think about using flyers as marketing tools? Have you tasted success by using them? I think flyers are effective only in the case of services and not when marketing physical products. We tend to use traditional marketing tools like articles and banners to market products. Any other opinion?
I've used flyers, brochures, drop cards (basic business cards), and other means of offline advertising to get leads for products and services with varying degrees of success. Yes, you are correct in assuming flyers work better for services than selling products, but flyers and the other methods I listed work well when promoting a free opt-in product to get leads, especially in the "Make Money Online" niche.
Using flyers is a traditional of promoting business this is effective as long as your business is local.
Yes it is effective..if - its attractive - convincing - meaningful - innovative else most of the time flyer as Paper, gets crush or us to clean desk
Flyers are effective if you will promote discounted products or service packages.. people love to see discounts and special offers...
Flyers are ideal for large-scale promotional campaigns. If you’re having a sale, an opening or a new product offering flyers will do a great job of attracting attention. They’re also cheap to produce, so even the most budget-conscious businesses should be able to afford a few thousand flyers.
I've used flyers for several different products. Among them were services, monthly memberships and physical products. The services and monthly memberships got the best results, but the physical worked too. Zaaylo hit it with what was posted. All in all yes it works. I actually have a friend that has a flyer distribution company and he has national accounts for fortune 200 companies that keep him VERY busy. So if it works for them it will work for us. Hope this helps!
Zaaylo is dead on. Adding to that, think about what will get people's attention most and lead with that. You've got about 2-3 seconds tops as the recipient scans the piece to decide whether to crumple it up. Here is a flow that works well for a flyer- - Creative Hook/Lead (short couple of words (BIG) to get attention - think like reading a billboard space - make it to the point and hopefully clever) - Product (show them what it's about - how does it tie to your hook? - make sure it's a good clean image) - Supporting text (why should they care - how will it improve their life? - this should be a brief, brief description) - Action Step (is it a phone number to call, website, event date, etc. - where can they get more details.) This is a schematic that can work to keep things simple. Nobody wants to read a ton of information. Tease them so they call you for more.
I have not had much luck with fliers for my offline business, but I guess you need to be sending businesses different fliers than everyone else is, a while back I was targeting local BUSINESS with flyers for website design who never had a website for their business, but in hindsight I guess they have had loads of fliers for web design, so depends on your offer I would think. Was thinking of doing it again for mobile web design but have decided against it as the business I meet up with from time to time just don't seem to get it yet...
Flyers and brochures are good marketing methods, especially if you are trying to market your site locally. Make sure to have a link to your site on the flyers so customers can visit your site and try including a special promo for people signing up for your service through your website. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
If you are a business owner, then you will surely be looking out for ways in which to promote your business or service. Making use of flyers is a very effective way of reaching potential customers and increasing awareness among the general public about your business. While flyers can be very effective, there are some ideas that you can implement in order to ensure that the flyers you print are not wasted and that they really and truly do the work that you intended for them. Following the below tips on printing flyers will help you get the best out of this mode of business promotion. 1. Keep in mind the purpose of the flyer, which is ideally to give customers an idea of what your business is offering them. Since a flyer is just a single sheet of paper, you cannot put everything in. You should also be careful not to clutter up the flyer as this will make it unpleasant to read. Therefore, ensure that you keep the content precise, to the point and appropriate. It should stimulate the interest of the readers. Include benefits of products or services, and always include contact information.

I think flyers are a pretty good way to advertise your business. You could send them to a landing page to capture their email and give them an OTO to get an immediate return.
Well i think you must use Facebook and twitter for your business.I am also using that and i am getting a lots of traffic from it.So i will also suggest you to just try at once and see the difference.
I think because we are dealing all the time with just online products and services we kinda think that we are not creating as much value as those in offline... Or maybe its just me. Plus it is cool to have flyers, something physical to show. I think it is just psychological problem. It is cool but not necessary. Just an opinion.
You are actually doing what's right. Traditional marketing seems to have a major come back recently. According to surveys by Outsell, businesses across America planned to increase their spending on traditional marketing strategies, especially print marketing, despite the changing media landscape. Distributing flyers is very effective if your business is based on physical products or your offices are located in a business place.
