I am doing a parttime job to build backlinks. And i like to leave comments on the related subjects' blog. My question is can we say "name" on blog comment is a kind of anchor text? For example, i am doing a backlink for a website, and let us call this website as A. And the keywords i want to build links for it is "a". When finding a do follow blog that is talking about "a", then i will leavn comments on it. Before i write my comments, i have to type my "name", "email", "website". So i write keyword "a" as my name, and then plaste my web site" A' .so i leave my comments, but without writing anchor test in the coment box. In this case, can I say that i have wrote an anchor test in blog comment, because i leave my name as "a" and website "A"?
Yes, your name is counted as anchor text. Actually that strategy of link building is one of the best I've seen. Not only is it a good link, but you can get traffic from high converting customers who are also reading the niche blog.
That is true... The name you entered gets used as the anchor text... You will see that if you do a View Source after making the post. Your link would appear as: a
yes yes, this is a good way to build relevant links, I use it all the time. important thing is not to spam. write meaningful comments and you will earn reward as a link.
it will help to get traffic if your post is helpfull. Even more it will help to get more benefit in SERP, if your domain name or your tarketed keyword is in your name. Like " Michaelaustin.com "
yes whatever you mentioned in Name field is considered as anchor text. so you are leaving your link with your relevant keyword
It is anchor text. Look at the source of the web page after your comment had been accepted using the View Source context menu item in your web browser. You'll see how the href linking to your site is written. A lot of blog owners will reject comments where the author's name is a keyword and not a real name. Even so, blog commenting is a good way of getting links if you can live with a low acceptance rate for your comments.
i am so glad to see people are so kind to reply this topic. i totally agree with you. But it is no sense to leave your name when leaving comments on blog. For me, i would like to see someone can write valuable comments in my blog even he used some keywords.
Yes, your name is a kind of anchor text. But since most blog comments are no follow, they won't be counted as backlinks.
It is true that your may be awarded with link back doing so, but most of blogs giving no follow links, that may be rather useless for you.
Yes. When you doing blog commenting put your targeted keyword as a name instead of putting your name. It will give the valid backlinks to you.
Yup, when we comment on a blog post, our NAME become an anchor text of the website we put in WEBSITE field. Its much better to use a name rather the the appropriate anchor text. Why? Most of the blog owners approve blog comments that use REAL NAME than those who use KEYWORDS.
same as that. we run 2 x PR4 dofollow blogs and will always approve comments, as long as they are genuine and add value. one line "thank you for the information" type-nonsense wont do. people can use keywords as long as they're not taking the pi$$, if they do we might edit them. name @ keyword seems to be one of the best solutions I've seen for getting accepted, we don't mind that at all.
Most blog comments makes the name an anchor text... Hmm, I would suggest making advantage of it but not too spam, just leave a good interesting comment...
hey thnks a lot for this very informative post....cleared all the doubts i had about blog commenting...
