Can we reply to a thread?

Curious. Can we reply to other members in a thread or is that considered bumping?

Would DigitalPoint forums be better off if we were allowed to post and converse with other members in topics without getting an infraction?

    Edit:

Okay, cool. So since you didn't direct a question in your post and if I replied with this question, would that be considered bumping?

I guess it depends on the thread and what you want to reply with :D I am responding to this one, because you asked a question.

Nitinleew's information is correct. Bumping is anything we consider redundant, unnecessary, or posted purely to move your thread back to the top of the page.

If your response provides value to everyone that reads the thread, then it's usually fine to post. If it's a conversation between two people, then it should be a private message.
