Hi... I just sent money to my guy and while sending the money, I keep it, PERSONAL > OTHERS. Now, I had sent him 25$ and he says, he received the whole 25$ ,with no taxes. he has the same Premier Account like me. Can we do the same for big payments ?? Like,if im receiving 1000$ from a client and I asked him to do PERSONAL > OTHERS< then will I receive the whole 1000$ directly or with that shitty 40$ as taxes ?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
Paypal doesn't charge taxes, but fees for using their services. Recently paypal started allowing free P2P transfers. By their rules, it is supposed to be a transfer to a family member or something similar, but I haven't hear of Paypal auditing these transfers. https://www.thepaypalblog.com/2009/06/paypal-send-money-updates/
Well, if you have to get that much money then better use MASS PAYMENT option ! That would be good ! I prefer to use personal for small payments around $100. - Digital -
Yeh, you can't use this as a viable option for long time payments. As already said, use Mass payment. Fees with a maximum of $1.
Well in this way also you can send money with low fee but I will prefer mass pay because PayPal has mentioned that this system is only for friends and that too in USA only, so I have a doubt that if they audit this transaction, they can limit account.
It is alright if you use this payment option once in a while. If you misuse it too often, Paypal has already cautioned of withdrawing the facility from an abusing account in its circular! So, do take extreme care while dealing with it. Regards, RightMan
I just received payment using personal/payment owed from my client and it charges a certain amount. It's his second time to use the personal tab... do you think im in danger?
I don't think your in danger at all. Why not start your own payment service or get a merchant account. I can get you a merchant account with lower fees than paypal but it only really makes sense if your processing lots of payments.
PP never impose taxes, but even you send the payment as personal, re recipient need to pay the pp charges. no way. If you send such a big amount, via mass pay.. Be sure about the recipient is well known and familiar in past transactions, If you you trust in you can use MASS-PAY. in this case YOY need to pay the fees, not the recipient. and BE care, You can not stop the payment. one delivered.
In addition to the potential problem that cheating PayPal might end up in a limited account, if you send money as a "gift" you don't have any protection as a buyer and won't be able to open a dispute. Read this thread here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1494332
