Can we rank well with less keyword density??

hi,
i have now changed the alt tags bcz earlier i was using the same keyphrase for all the images on the page but now with the change in alt tags my keyword density is less than 4% so will it effect my ranking on Google or not
plz suggest as soon as possible bcz i cant process with my work without ur response

 

On page is like only 15%

Backlinks are more important then keyword density.
Keep the keyword density in the 4-8% range.

 

i think %6 keyword density is good for google. the main criteria for the google algo is backlinks
