You counted? Did you count each piece as one, or did you reassemble them CSI-style? Make sure you subtract all the ones who have ever fired a weapon at coalition forces (they're fair game). Then deduct all the ones that blew themselves up (that's suicide, can't count 'em). Then eliminate all the ones that killed their countrymen (also enemy forces). Remove the ones who improvised IED's that killed their own countrymen OR coalition troops (they're murderers, they'd have been hanged anyway). Skip the ones running around with ill-gotten weapons, interfering with the restoration of a Democratic society (they're enemy forces too, regardless of their intentions). Finally, lop off those who trained, aided / abetted, or gave comfort to enemy troops (International Law considers them the same as enemy combatants). You act as if we targeted women and infants. Cripes. War sucks. Get over it.
Do you mean this teenage girl first killed her own family and then raped and shot herself in the head and poured kerosene over herself after being dead and burned herself? Investigator: U.S. soldier poured kerosene on raped, slain Iraqi will you get over it if someone did this to your family members? The way to win this war is through hamburger, coca-cola, cell phone and Janet Jackson and not with more soldiers and bullets.
Thank you for your shallow insight into my persoanl feelings about Bush which, incidentally, have no basis in reality. It's a nice story though, fits all the pieces into your one dimensional puzzle all nice and snug. And, anyway, how's the fishing?
gworld: Congratulations. You found one instance to focus on, since the "big picture" eludes you. Focusing on minutiae is a good way to avoid recognizing the broader subject. The incident you pointed out is horrible. It's criminal. And those soldiers, once convicted, deserve the same fate as their victim (IMO). I'd be fine with turning them and anyone associated with their crime over to the Iraqis. It's only fair. Coke, Janet, cellys and Big Macs, while a brilliant plan, didn't help the people of Somalia. I certainly agree with you that they're more powerful in fostering democracy in certain cultures. But this ain't one of them.
Don't see the connection here, perhaps you mean.. 500 US = 5.000.000 Iraqi and 3000 US = 30.000.000 Iraqi in order to not contradict with your second statement 1 US life = 166.66.. Iraqis and 60 US life = 10.000 Iraqis in order to not contradict with your first statement
This is like I tell you that you only focus on 9/11 and the "big picture" of US foreign policy after WWII eludes you. This is not only one incident, people have been arrested, tortured, killed and this situation still continues to this day, do you really think these people will forget about their dead family members? What is a difference for a father if his children are killed on purpose or a missile hit the neighbor house to kill some terrorist and his children were also just a casualty of war? This is what many Muslims say about 9/11 also. Do you make a distinction between people from Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria,... and Sunni, Shia, wahabi,.. and people who were responsible for 9/11. It seems your attitude is that while every Muslim is responsible for the 9/11, other people should just get over the death of their family members and don't blame America for it and just blame few soldiers. How do you know? Have you ever been to Middle east? How many friends do you have that are from that area? Contrary to common belief, the youth and intellectual in those countries exactly know what democracy, coke , big Macs and human rights are. They want to have what people in USA and western world have and the only problem is that those opportunities are denied to them by their own governments with the help of US government.
I wasn't talking about the number of people who have been killed. I am talking about how little regard you have for 1 Iraqi life compared to 1 US life. You talk about Iraqi deaths as being 'fair game'. Are you telling me if a foreign army invaded and occupied your coutry then you would be 'fair game' if you tried to defend your country? You don't actually care about any life other than an Americans life.
Can we question their patriotism now? Who are they? you can not even question Kerry’s patriotism may be his judgment and opinion, certainly his political savvy We can also wonder why you post your question in such a way that questions their patriotism. And why do you think that questioning the judgment of the president is unpatriotic. It is what democracy is all about. Why you insist that we have to adopt a dictatorial and communist approach to patriotism
They are the party kerry represents. I can, have and continue to question directly, kerry's patriotism. You should read some of my past posts on him, documented his treason. You are welcome to wonder all you want, but you are not entitled to make up your own facts. Interesting, you took issue with the messenger, but not the message. About par, eh?
A good example of how gworld stabs soldiers in the back quite often. He uses them, when convenient, to further his agenda. I commented on that here. But what's more disturbing is, when soldiers are charged, but not convicted, he seeks to prosecute them openly. However, when terrorists are charged, he makes posts seeking sympathy for them and even going so far as to seek their release. Clearly, gworld thinks much higher of terrorists than he does soldiers that fight terrorists. And he's not ashamed to admit his support for terrorists. So, same question to you, gworld. This is not only one incident, people have been arrested, tortured, killed and this situation still continues to this day, do you really think these people will forget about their dead family members? Tell us, gworld...when your buds go over and blow up innocent (well, the kaffir is not innocent in islam, but still) men, women and children in Israel so they can be assured of some virgins, where is your equal outrage? A biased athiest, who would have thought? Never a bad word for terrorists.
I didn't mean to ransack into your personal life but if you don't want to answer my question then thats fine, no need to get defensive. How's the fishing on your side of the river? I wanted to know what you are thankful to god for regarding the election of Mr Bush?
You are an imbecile to question the patriotism of more than half of the American people If I agree with his view or not has nothing to do with it. It is your attempt to limit his freedom of speech and attacking him for exercising it and calling him unpatriotic, is what I find disturbing Read these links please. http://www.conservative.org/about/principles.html http://www.gop.com/About/AboutRead.aspx?AboutType=3&Section=19 Fact is that more than 99% of people in the USA withstanding a few exceptions believe in freedom of speech, and especially freedom of political speech, regardless whether they agree with its content or not. I know of only dictatorships and communists that think state and government should limit the speech of its people for political reasons.
And you're a moron for assuming such. Once again, attacking the messenger and not the message. What kerry did was wrong. But not new. Going overseas to bash America where a number of our enemies are also meeting, as well, doing so during a time of war. But this isn't the first time kerry's met with the enemy of the US during war time. As far as the "party" remark, do we see his "party" (democrat party, those in the house/senate) saying anything? Nope, not a peep. Did you peep? Nope, as usual you take issue with the messenger and not the message. Nothing unusual there, either.
I can confirm that gtech is actually an imbecile. I'm sure he will provide you with some links to his previous post that will show his imbecile credentials.
Just your typical combination of garbage and dishonest response but the fact that you think a rapist and a murderer is a soldier, shows your attitude and the type of war that you and your friends cheer for. A war that gives a possibility to psychopaths to rape women and kill civilian. May be these type of people are soldiers in your world but in in my world they are just criminals.
Aww, that was sweet of you! I can't recall the last time someone with a defeatist attitude, who self-loathes over delusional doom and gloom, has a severe problem with low self-esteem and generally takes the side of terrorists in every related argument, said something so nice! Thank you, mixed up
I agree that you are dishonest. As my post pretty much pointed out everything you've said in the past, including seeking sympathy for terrorists, I whole heartedly agree...your posts are garbage. Stop supporting terrorists, gworld.
Hurry up pizzaman, I don't have all day to wait on your next lame post. Thirty minutes or less! chop chop!
As a person that thinks of rapists and murderer as soldiers, I do not expect anything more from you than continuing with your dishonest postings since anyone can see that such actions are not justifiable. I can not believe that you were once in the army, those people and their supporters like you are just a disgrace to any army uniform and any TRUE soldier will condemn those actions and their supporters.
Trying for the victim role now? That's a new twist! Once again, soldiers are charged but not convicted, and gworld is ready to pounce. But when terrorists are charged, gworld starts a post seeking sympathy for terrorists. How do you live with yourself? Not a bad word for you buds that went off seeking virgins to kill some Jews either. How typical. Isn't it clear who and what you support?
