yes you can but i would advise u to take the .com instead. If you develop your .info domain n u have a lot of traffic..the traffic will leak to the .com so register the .com if possible.
You could...and yes, you could be successful with a .info. But as pointed out above, for a very serious venture, you should consider a .com. Majority of people who remember a domain name, usually do not recall other extensions. You would inevitably lose some traffic to whoever has the same name but in the .com extension. .
well if you are going to invest certian amount in the store and want to make money out of hte site, then I would recomend to go for a .com a few bucks could really make the difference in SERP
if your target is just local (meaning a certain group) then by all means, you can use your .info domain but if you are planning to launch it as a global online store then take into consideration the advise of other people here.
you can succeed with .info but i do recommend to get a .com if it is a online store if the .info you got is a super premium thats fine, but never set up a store at .info because .info is cheap to register, you will loose out that money in promoting it
