Flippa recently implemented a small feature where an auction for a site would display links to the previous auctions for the same site (same url) if there were any. For example here you can see a yellow triangle near the url and then you click on it it show two other listings. The yellow triangle is kinda annoying, but the idea is great imho. Shawn, would you consider coding something here to do the same? So that buyers can instantly see if the site was posted for sale here before.
It's an interesting idea, although would probably do something slightly different... Will see what I can come up with.
That is an excellent idea. A lot of people will hate this feature if they can't turn it off though(which means we're on the right track). On a side note that example was great. Guy sold a domain a month ago for $1,999, then a week later is selling the same domain on a site saying it made $141,995 from 2011 until now.
A great idea. At the bottom there are sometimes previous threads listed under similar threads, so I look there. I also search the domain in Google (among other places) and a sentence (or a few) from the sales pitch. (The "problem" with due diligence is that you usually end up finding a reason not to buy the site. )
Well, major new features aren't going to be coming into the current system. It would be rather pointless because I've been rewriting it all from scratch and don't feel like writing it for the current system, only to rewrite it a few weeks later for the new system.
