Can we have a built in escrow system

Hi all,
I am not sure if this has been suggested before (i did search for the the term and nothing showed up).
But i was wondering if we could have a built in escrow system (something like that on getafreelancer).

what can happen is for any transaction a person can pay via paypal.
Then after the transaction occurs the sender can release the payments. Or cancel it at which point a mod can look over what happened and do the needful.
Paypal fees and misc charges can be split and taken from the escrow money.

Also i realize that paypal chargebacks would be a major issue, but you can accept the payment as "membership fee" and no one can really dispute that.

You can also charge some % (say 5) for this service.
and give me 2% for my suggestion (just kidding), 1% would be fine D)

 

That is a very dynamic idea however DP is probably not ready to step into the buyer/seller protection business at this time.
