Well i got an infraction yesterday for bumping a thread. Im not to sure why, but im sure it probably looked as if i did if i got an infraction for it.

The thing is my sig links are not for sale or anything like that, so theres no need for me to bump a thread. Im sure some mods probably think im trying to boost a thread to earn more, with revenue sharing on this forum. But im making enough with adsense not to worry about anything little like that.

So i was just wondering if its possible, that when you get infractions for thread bumping, you can see what thread it is. Thanks everyone.

    Very much appreciated.

There are a lot of other reasons why people would bump a thread. And you are allowed to sell your sig.
    haha you crack me up.

Anyway, you should have received an email along with the infraction with a quote of what your post said.

If they deleted your post, you can't access it. They delete it to "unbump" the thread.

I actually didn't know that. But it makes sense. I haven't recieved the emails. I changed my hotmail about 2 months ago. And it makes sense now.

I need to inform DP about a change in address, is this possible? I actually didn't think about this when i changed it.

    Cheers.

Maybe you forgot to update your profile email such that the infraction email does not reach you? Anyway just update it. Infractions will expire, no worries.

To edit your email or password follow this link: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/profile.php?do=editpassword

HOWEVER - I get the feeling that you might have to receive a confirmation to your old email.... dont quote me on that as I havent tried it, Im just looking at it logically to stop account hacking and malicious password changing etc.

It doesn't matter whether you bump a sales thread or not, bumping is not allowed and therefore you shouldn't bump.

You can enable the email notification in your user control panel.
