Can we directly tie up with credit card companies like VISA

    Hi,

    I am from India & would like to know if we can directly tieup with VISA MASTERCARD and skipping Credit card processing companies ?

    Visa was formed by a group of American banks so if you want to skip the processor you will need to be one of them....

    Even if you are really big it isn't possible to skip the processor, a couple of years a go Walmart tried to buy/create a bank to get around processing fees, if that gives you an idea of how difficult it is to skip the processor (you can get discounts but won't be able to skip the CC processing company).

    You have to be a bank or money processing service or finance company like GE to have tie up with them, it will work out only in large scale

    Right now, Sams Club, part of Walmart actually has a CC processing division. Not sure if it's completely separate from another processor or just a discounted version of a processor.
