can we change just pub id in new adsense codes?

hy members,
as u knw google adsense hav new codes now but many sites are using old codes too my q is this can we change the just pub id in new codes too or not?

i didnt try this so just want to confirm coz i have to use this feature for one of my web if its not then please suggest me what should i do just use the old code or is there any possibility to do so.....?

 

I don't see why not but, this would throw your channels off a bit
