Can using a template affect SEO negatively?

    I have created a few websites with my own design but I guess you could say I am just not that good, co I found a website template I want to use for a new website. Is there any reason this could affect my SEO if I use a template?
    May be a stupid question but I just want make sure before I buy the template. thx

    It will not cause any problem if site is unique. If you have own images and content template means nothing. If you copy images and content it will be duplicate content and google will drop it.

    Just make sure to change content and maybe images if any. Then make correct keywords for site and title and you will be fine.

    the only thing that can affect SEO negatively is duplicate content.. and... course, SE spam )
