Profit means profit, not turnover.
Oil prices increase worldwide because of war in an oil rich state, obviously.
So both his attempts at points are totally null and void.

And when it comes to war, you very rarely have winners.

No you didnt, you just demonstrated that you are unwilling to get the point, so again I will explain it.
Oil companies made record PROFITS (get a dictionary or google it like i said)after expenses and operating costs (its like talking to a 5 year old)
because of the increase in the price of oil due to the war in iraq, hostilities with Iran (all oil rich might I point out for the mentally challenged here).
Might I state that this will happen to every oil company, not just the ones in Iraq (you dont have to be in a war zone to make a killing on the oil market)
Besides drawing a picture or putting together a special presentation for you I dont really see how I could make it any more clear.

I totally understand you...I have never denied they made record (as in high amount) of profits...when you do record business, you can make record profits...that still doesn't mean that they make the same profit margin as other businesses...If Best Buy did as much business as EXXON, they would make a profit almost twice as high as that which EXXON posted!...that is why oil is actually a poor investment...as I have now said three times, you don't know anything about profit margins and how they actually work...you probably don't care either because it is too hard for you to understand...you just want to blame the oil market and george bush...after all, who do you think is getting all those profits???

also, what about EXXON not even being in Iraq?? Is that why GWB invaded? So EXXON, a company not even there could make a fortune??
