Can US wins the war with Iran?

With all the equipment, technology and war machines in hand, can US withstand the war with Iran? While Iranian is lack of facilities, maybe US have a chance, but with a prolong guerillas war, maybe US will loose the war.

So what do you think?

If we fight with men then I don't think we have much a chance at the moment. However, like d16man said, we could always drop a nuke and get it over with. I think that would be a last resort and I don't think a nuke will be dropped until the end of times.

 

If we fight like we know how to fight? Yes.
If we fight like idiot Bush is having us fight, a politically correct war, then no.

the Us can definetly take over Iran if they try to but I think guerilla warfare or suicide bombings will continue for a long time after...I doubt the US can win the "ideological" war against extremist muslims

Yeah it would be very different. Unfortunately, these Islamakazis won't give up and are effectively killing many Americans. They kill themselves for 10 US soldiers. It seems to be working for now.

This about covers what I would say. I don't think at this time any one nation could defeat the United States if we were smart about how we fought. We stand alone as the super power of the world but given a few more years, countries like China may catch up.

I believe Iran is no different than Iraq in how much they can stand an attack against us. The problem is instead of finishing it, we send our soliders in to be targets for the extremist.

If nuking a country is acceptable, you should have no objection about terrorists using nuclear weapons against the US.

 

Bush can fight them all, not a problem!! Hey maybe he will lower the age to be a solidier. How about 14! They already have lowered the testing scores requirements so low that most 4th graders can pass the written test.

There is no war with Iran. If Iran would listen to the UN and EU and cease development of it's nuclear weapons programs, stop repeatedly calling for genocide against Jews and stop arming/supporting/supplying terrorists in Iraq with funding/equipment, they wouldn't even be a blip on the radar.
