Do your adwords account using budget optimizer?
Do you set your budget for a day?
Let's say you set your budget to $1 per day. Then when your campaign hits $1 for that particular day, google will paused your campaign until the next day.

I have experienced the same thing. If you hover your mouse over a keyword you will see the reason. Follow the link in the message.

What G does is if you are approaching your budget limit too rapidly they try to stretch it out a bit by not showing your ads every time they are triggered by a keyword. I noticed this last night.

This happens if your daily budget is over, Keywords minimum bid increases, Ads become inactive or disapproved...

If you go over your daily budget, your campaign stops. Period.

Instead of just guessing, contact Google and ask them about this problem. It's much quicker and their help will likely solve your problem.

This sounds like what might be going on. Go to your campaign overview page and click the "Edit Settings" button. On the left about half-way down the page you'll see "Budget Options."

In there you'll see "Delivery method." There are 2 choices, Standard and Accelerated. Standard stretches your ads out by pacing the impressions based on your budget. Accelerated doesn't pace the ads. They'll show until your budget is reached and then shut off until tomorrow.

It's usually better to have it set at Standard. You'll do better having your ads show throughout the day versus running out within 2 hours.

    Hope that helps.

What everybody said before is correct.

One more detail that you have to check is your keyword.

Do you know how many searches are made everyday for the keyword.

Are you using search only, content network and search content network.

It is recommended to have 3 ad groups for each of the above options.

What position does your ad have?, do you have at least 2 ad variations?

    Do you use misspelling keywords?
