Can top spot be achievable via white hat techniques for terms such as poker, online poker, rolex, online gambling, diamond rings? Or do you need black hat? I just want to create a discussion on what people think?
I think it is defiantly achievable using white hat within 18 months, but would cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Lots of hard work to get that result. Me I'm sticking to vegetables, seriously! upto 90c per adsense click, I'm just loving my golden carrots
if it was 100% white hat (if there is such a thing) it would go on stuff like quality content writing, yahoo directory submission, and maybe a few "treats" for quality niche blog owners ;-)
those keywords are long term strategy you can play with white hat can help you achieve those results.
Definately possible, but would take a lot of time and effort (like everything). Where would the money go? On a well thought through organic ethical SEO campaign!
hi mate, of course.. this is perfectly possible..using white hat techniques is a very smart way to ensure your longtime stay on top spots in google and other search engines..black hat ones may boost your site to the first few positions but what if google realizes that you have been using unethical techniques to modify their indexing? it would be senseless to invest a lot of time trying to get on the top and a few days later, you notice your site has been put down and even worse..imagine that Google get your site banned for ever.. so my sincere recommendation is you go through moral and white hat techniques for your seo strategies whenever possible. see u soon!!
I wouldn't do that if I were you. takes a lot of effort. I'll make a lot more with another niche with the same effort.
I agree. Money spent on creating widgets, creativity & quality content/blogs can definitely get some powerful links! Also UGC is vitally important for those websites, I take it!
it can. but that's a more theoretical statement. in practice, most sites ranking high for such crowded money terms do very heavy grey- and possibly blackhat area linkbuilding. you just need to look at their backlinks.
This is true, for all the websites holding top spots for very competitive keywords that I have analysed, I have found that most, if not all have dubious greyhat backlinks, I’m not saying you can’t get top spot using squeaky clean whitehat tactics, but I wouldn’t even bother trying, yes it would be nice and “ethical†but the playing field is not level.
