    Hi,

As seach engines like frequent updates of the web pages, do you think a daily different 'TIP OF THE DAY' would benefit SEO?

    Thanks.

    Yes and no.

The crawler will only save the current tip on the page when it crawls and not see the others unless it crawls when they are displayed. A directory of tips is a much better idea :)

He's not talking about the keyword of the tip, he's talking about content freshness. His main content will stay constant but his content will be fresh because of the changing tip.

Honestly I'm not sure what size the change has to be to count as fresh content.

Good point, I'd assume in my view atleast a 20% change would consitute as fresh content.

I think I have done something like this without being aware of it. In my site http://photo4u.awardspace.com I am showing a different picture every day. I also add the picture details. So everyday, quite a lot of information are changed. Suddenly, my site jumped from PR0 to PR3, although the number of unique is low.

    Does that make sense?

No, fresh content shouldn't increase PR.

I think it's backlinks rather than PR than increase bot frequency.

This will definitely help in your SEO strategy...

It wont help with your on page optimization, and directly it wont increase your page rank.

What it will do is keep your readers coming back and continually checking your content. If you post really great tips they will likely grab afew links them selves. Try and page a specific page for each tip so they can continually get added to the index.

The best SEO strategy is to build a valuable site. This will always win out in the long run.
