Can this prevent my site indexed by Google?

    Hi guys.
I checked my website for broken links with Xenu and encountered with a strange thing. (Well it is strange for me)
When I checked the links with Xenu for my URL with the www., such as http://www.1printer-supply.com the program found 3083 URLs. But when I checked the same website without the www., such as http://1printer-supply.com I got only 1446 URLs. And then I started to think.
When I log in to my site statistic page at Yahoo web hosting services I see statistics for
www.1printer-supply.com and without the www also. The pages without the www have been viewed 5 times more than with it.
I searched on the net and found out that this is called as the "canonical issue” and it is caused by availability of both a www and non www version of a domain. Well, within the two years of my internet biz this is the first time I heard about this canonical issue.
Do you guys know if this has any disadvantages? Can this be related to that Google doesn’t want to index my pages? Or how can I let visitors see only one url like the one without the www.?
I will appreciate any help Thanks Laszlo
