    I believe that's against the TOS because the ad unit doesn't have a border around it. About the Blogger thing, I don't use Blogger so I dunno.

    Blogger does not allow ads inside the text of a post, unlike Wordpress.
    If somebody knows how to do it, they may contribute. However, the example given is against TOS, as there is no border between the image and ads.

    Are you SURE that's against the TOS? Because it seems that many people in this forum suggest the "invisible boarder" for ad placement.

    *shrug* I'll go check the TOS now... (It's not my site anyway though)

    Edit:

    Just checked the TOS and I didn't see anything about having the boarder the same color as your background. Even "blogger.com" has the blended background as one of their preset profiles!! Maybe I missed something in the TOS though...and if that's so then the new "AdSense partner", Blogger.com, has a profile that is against the TOS. :-/

    It's definitely possible to place AS ads in a Blogger post. Just copy the AS code and paste into the HTML of your post, and click "Publish Post". And then you should see a page complaining that your HTML cannot be accepted because of scripts. Simply check the checkbox and click "Publish Post" again.

    However, always make sure you do not violate the TOS, such as having not more than 3 ad units and not more than 1 link unit per page, every page.

    Hope this helps.

    Are you sure it works? Didn't for me, it went ahead with publishing, but the ad didn't show up...

    Hey thanks! This sounds great and all, but could you give me a link to someone that has done this in blogger.com for proof? I can't seem to do it. :(

    Hate to tell you, but it doesn't look to me that it will work :(

    I have tried:
    1. Direct method as instructed above
    2. "php include" method
    3. "#include" method

    If anybody succeeds in doing this, please post the info...

    With that being said, anyone know a good free blog that supports AdSense ads in the middle of your post? I'm trying to make it so the ads are less annoying and not thought of as "ads". If I put them in the middle of the content the right way, it'll aid people in their search instead of pushing them away because of the "ad look".

    When doing posting, are you in HTML mode or Compose mode? Make sure it's HTML.

    Also, very importantly, you should disable the auto-insertion of <br/> tags - under Settings-> Formatting-> "Convert line breaks". Note however that if you disable "convert line breaks", you might need to re-edit ALL your previous posts as all the automatically-inserted line breaks will be gone.

    Quick question though...

    With this method I would need to insert all the line breaks manually by using the code:
    <br/>

    Correct?

    Do I need to worry about other HTML related things like <p>? I took a HTML course in school a long time ago and have really forgotten a lot of HTML. I'd rather not relearn it all when I can use nice web/blog design software that'll do it for me. I can work with the <br/> though ;)

    Thank again!!

    I make do with having single <br/> for a new line, and double <br/>'s for an empty line between paragraphs. Don't need advanced HTML.

    And with all this good news... did anyone find out whether or not you can blend ads into the background legally in the TOS? The AdSense coloring profile on blogger.com is called "Match Blend" or something if I recall right.

    Let us know,

    I believe it's legal. You can always change the color codes from within your Adsense admin, to match your theme.

    I know you can change the color codes to basically whatever you want from the AdSense admin, but I was just pointing out that if it is against the TOS, Blogger.com offers a "Blend Template" style/look for your ads that will blend it into the background on most templates.

    This is going to sound really stupid of me, but how do you put the AdSense block DIRECTLY underneath the image (like the one in the PlayStation ad that I posted in the topic)? With the words wrapping around it of course...

    I just think that's such a good idea. It doesn't "trick" the viewer into clicking, and it doesn't look like an ad. It is such perfect placement that it would actually HELP the viewer if he/she were to click. Maybe that's just my look on things though. ;)

    Simple blending is not against TOS, afaik. Doing the playstation e.g. needs tables. (<div> tags can also do that).

    I'm reading up on div tags right now...they seem like they would do it simpler than tables.

    I got this code from a post in these forums:
    <div style="float: left; margin: 3px 3px 3px 3px;">
    ADSENSE AD
    </div>

    It isn't working for me though...hopefully I'll figure it out. :)
