Can they really charge me $100 to move my domain to another site?!

    Now that changes things. If your host won't give the EPP code, then contact
    their registrar partner for it.

    The registrar might refer you to them first due to their agreements. Tell them
    you've exhausted everything to resolve it with them with no success, so they
    might tell you what to do next.
