Can the sitemap be at some other host ?

    I was just curious if the sitemap of xyz.com can be hosted at abc.com ? yes it wouldnt be reccomended, but still has anyone done it with success ?

    No, as far as I know, this isn't possible. A sitemap can only contain URLs that are located in the same directory as the sitemap or in its subdirectories, and definitely not on another domain.

    Google has stated that the site map must be in the root directory of the web site.
