I think companies would like to their ads be exposed longer. That is why I think how much time a visitor viewing a site may affect SERP. My questions are: 1. Can the "browsing time longer or short" really affect a site's Google SERP results? 2. Do Google count how long a visitor stay at a site? Thanks.
I have often wondered this, it would seem unfair if Google penalized a site that had a high bounce rate because there is no real way they can tell how long a person stayed on the one page of a site. (unless the person also visits another page on that site) The only candid response I have seen Google give on the subject uses words like "indirectly" and "might" Cheers James
No friend this does not affect the Google SERP, infact it is good thing that people are viewing your website for longer time.
Not every user has Google toolbar ... Google is not supposed to invade users privacy, I believe users activity fulls under it .. Using G.Analytics, they can always study the pattern, but they won't implement anything sigificant on the amount of time spent on a site... if they do SEX/Porn sites win hands down ... /G
