Can the checks sent via regular mail be lost? This month my earnings reached $100 and I'm preparing to receive my first check. I am worried about receiving the check via regular mail... I live in Romania and, obviously, I have the right to worry about this, because my first mail from Google (the postcard with the PIN number) got lost! Here, we have some mail services that need my signature and my personal code from my ID card in order to receive documents, money... etc. The mail service itself doesn't recommend to send money in an envelope, or something like this. This is what we call here "standard mail" aka "without confirmation". What is the procedure with Google AdSense checks? Can they be lost?
Oh yeah, mail gets lost all the time, in the U.S. it's not as common because 1) it is a Federal Crime and 2) People complained really bad a while back and the Govt. cracked down on it really hard. I don't know about Romania but I would imagine International mail gets lost more than just regular mail within the same country. Just my 2¢
Oh, that sounds good. So, they keep track of the bank transfers? I can simply tell them that my check hasn't arrive and they will add the funds to the next payment? Thank you very much!
I never get a cheque from Google but from Paypal Once mine was lost and I requested them to stop payment and a new cheque and they did but it took extra month, But about google I have no Idea.
Yes, it happens to people all the time. You just have to wait for a while and then email google to reissue you a check
that's why I feel EFT is very important, most of the countries have that facility but not enabled by google. In India it's common most of the internet users EFT but google has not made any progress in that field
Theoretically any mail can be lost. There are countries were this happens quite often so that it's better to choose 'Electronic Funds Transfer' (if this option is available in your country). Fortunately enough, in case of a mail lost, the entity that issued a check can verify if the cheque was cashed. If this was not cashed a new cheque can be issued (and the first one will be canceled).
