i just moved my long term forum to phpbb. im unfamiliar with bots and what they do for my site. is it good to add more
Hey Tunescool, Bots can be good and bad depending on your point of view. You could have a bot created that automatically goes out scrapes content and posts in your forum on your behalf. Search engines have bots that crawl your site and index your pages. These are examples of what most would consider good bots. Someone also could have a bot that creates accounts on your forum, and creates profiles and adds back links to various sites. Some might consider this to be a bad bot. The long and short of it is that bots are tools that automate a process, only you can decide if a bot is useful(good) or not. If you have any other questions about bots feel free to let me know.
