Can someone tell me plZ????

    May be a stupid question but I need to know if I run a forum and want to give my users free sub-domain with some spacce and bandwidth............... then do I need a Resseler a/c or just an a/c on my host.....???I hope to get ans very sooooon

    With hosting packages there is usually a limit on the number of subdomains you can create. For example mine is 10.

    You may have to pay a lot for a package without such limitations.

    It's mean I don't need to buy RESELLER a/c as my host is offering UNLIMITED sub-domains....Am I right?

    I don't see why not. Can you set usernames and passwords per subdomain?

    I still don't know that if i can set user/password on each subdomain....OK can anyone tell me If I create a hosting a/c with HOSTGATOR then will I be able to create sub-domains for my users?

    Never used them or I would help on that. Currently I have a dedicated server and will be offering hosting soon.

    If you have cPanel you can do it easily as well as manage all the sub-domains from your main domain. You can allow acces to the sudomains and make user accounts through your cPanel account easily. Stats and other traffic will also be available for each sub-domain. The only problem I see is that you might run out of bandwidth or hosting space easily as you will be allowing free accounts to the users, so they might be uploading/downloading heavy files from there. (As far as I know, you cannot set any limit on bandwidth or web space for sub-domains individually, but you can if you have reseller hosting different user accounts.)
