Search this in google: Now, if no backlinks or too little it is fake. In this case there are lots of backlinks. Check those links for the URL. If you do not see the url in them, the PR is fake and the seller used a redirect to a higher PR domain to get this PR.

yes it's a strange one because as domainerhelper mentioned, the links are pointing to the old redirected page. the www. version of this site is 100% valid and is a PR3, but the non www. version is seems a bit strange because the info:domain command is not showing a result. I'm just going to wait it out and wait for google to re-cache the site. It's more than likley a PR3 but it would be a good bonus it it is a PR5 as i only paid $20 for it.

Again, you also need to makesure that there was never a 301 redirect from that domain to another. When you 301 redirect a domain it becomes a proxy of the domain it is redirecting too and gains temporarily the domain's stats. This is how PR is faked. So look at the backlinks and ensure they actually link to the domain.
