Hello, I am new on the net, was planning to start a website, but was just lost, Can some explain, how a website can get vistor, Need someone who has been doing this to explain in detail. I want to plan on the promotoin becuase, Traffic is the life line of a website.
well to get a traffic you need to write a very nice promotional ads then submit it to classifieds, and Groups sites. then maybe you could submit your site to different Directories and write an article about your site then submit it to articles site... how it'll help you...,
Firstly, create a site on something that you have good knowledge on. You may want to hire a designer to get the basic designs of the site done.
I think you should target your local market first focusing on your niche, you can start with getting listed in local search engine, regional directories and implement other method as suggested by members here.
If your pages have really widespread appeal, social promotion like Stumble Upon, Facebook, Twitter, otherwise, keep putting new content on and making back links, or pay for advertising. SEO is best and most effective if done right, but hardest to learn.
